Fairy Dust & DreamzAll the things about a fairy princess you never wanted to know! March 12 I Love going to MissouriI love going to Missouri
November 26 HOLIDAYS are hereLet me start the blog by saying congratulations to my hunters!! My baby boy (ok, so he's almost 13 and also almost as tall as me. What did I spawn?) got his first deer his first rifle season out. YAY TRAV! He shot a Nubin Buck at 57 yds. Dropped it in one shot, no tracking! BAM! Of course hubby got one too and the night after they got home, fresh back straps. YUMMMM! Plenty of venison to get us though the winter. Here is a picture. I am so proud of him.
So our tradition is the day after Thanksgiving, we go get our tree. So on Friday we put on the Christmas Carols and the hot chocolate w/marshmallows and got to decorating. It turned out great and we had so much fun. I feel very festive this year though I really have no reason. I am hoping to keep myself upbeat even though this promises to be a crappy one. As of December 31st I will be unemployed as the restaurant will be closing. The rumor is that the guy who will be taking over the restaurant wants to keep all the employees. We will see what happens. Its just a really crappy time to get unemployed and it came out of no where. The original plan was to shut down in March.
Oh well, enough whining. Why don't you show me I actually have some readers out there and leave me a comment to tell me what is your favorite part of the Holidays.
Come one! Show me some love!! P.S. Puppy update...they were 42 pounds a piece at the last vet visit on Nov 8. Any bets on them being 50 by now? November 08 Busy Busy DayWhat a day. I have lots of stuff to do and yet here I sit wasting time at my laptop. LOL. Can we say procrastination? The truth is I am just enjoying the empty house for a little bit. The kids are at school, the girls are outside and the hubby is off shooting me some ducks. (I hope!) It won't last so I am killing time taking advantage of the fact that I don't have to be quiet and tip toe around til hubby wakes up. Then the busy part starts. Have errands to run, take the girls to the vet today and then lunch with a friend.
Phew. I am tired just typing about it already. But before all that, and after I finish at the puter, I am gonna do a little work on Chloe's afghan. I finally finished Trav's while I was up north. Here is a picture of it.
It turned out great and he loves it. I am making the same pattern for Chloe but with different colors. Of course it will be pink, purple and a soft white. Then I have to make one for the father in law in Camoflage (yes they make a vareigated camo yarn) brown and green. Hope to be done with Chloes by X-mas and start Jake's soon after. Hope to be done with his by the time wonter is over because I can't crochet w/ a huge heavy thing like that on my lap in the summer. Well hope everyone has a great day! Talk to you all soon. November 03 Day Light Savings...YAYFinally tonight is turn back your clock night. A whole extra hour of sleep. Except wait...that sure will screw with the puppies schedule. I always have to get up and let them out at 5:10 am. So I have to remember to set my alarm for 4:10? Let's see, fall back so what was 5:10 will now be 4:10. Yes thats right! OOK. So on second thought, time change not so good this year...LOL.
Speaking of the puppies, they are growing like weeds. They are 16 weeks now! They go to the vet on Thursday. Last vet visit (3 weeks ago) they were 31.6lbs (May) and 32.6lbs (April) I guess I should post a picture...LOL.
Of course this picture was taken awhile ago so they are bigger now. LOL. Wonder how much they are going to weigh this time? Yes their paws are huge, yes their Mom was huge and yes THEY will be huge. They have very sweet dispositions. We had April (the yellow) for 5 weeks before we brought her sister May(the black) home. They are real sisters from the same litter but it took me a couple weeks working on the hubby before he surprised me by bringing May home. April was kind of hyper before we brought May home. They are good influences on each other. Miss May is much calmer and a lover. She just wants your attention and love. They are both learning to sit, stay, fetch and all the other good stuff. My neighbor across the street loves it when we let them out to play in the front yard. He just stands across the street in his yard and watches them play and tussling. He gets the biggest kick out of them. He brings them treats. "The Girls" as we collectively call them are well known to the neighbors. When we walk them around the neighborhood they come out of their houses to pet and play with them. April is the protector. She always barks at them, but if they take a step towards her she is a scaredy cat. May just wants their love and attention. May rarely barks and in fact the first time I heard her I couldn't believe it. She has a super deep woof like a full grown dog. As you see I could go on all day about the girls. Then there are the kids. LOL! Can't forget about them. Travis is getting straight A's this year and Chloe is an official Brownie. She still loves girl scouts. They are enjoying their weekend right now. Me not so much. I look forward to the weekend as time to spend with the whole family. Even when I have to work we still have the afternoon/evening together. But not tonight. Jason signed up for overtime and wouldn't you know he got stuck working tonight. So its just me and the girls and the kids. Its almost like having 4 kids...LOL. But not only do I like weekends because we are all together, but it is my only chance to give over some of the parenting duties. LOL. My favorite phrase on the weekends..."Ask your Dad." Hehehe. Well hope everyone enjoys their weekend. November 02 Hello spaces!Hi there. How is everyone? I don't even know if I have readers anymore but I am here anyway. I know I haven't been around. Things have just been...well, life, you know. I really didn't have much interest in blogging because to be frank, my life was not conducive to happy go lucky blog entries. And I didn't really have too much to say anyhow. But things have gotten better. I can't promise I will be blogging every day, or even that it will be anything worth reading, but its something anyway.
To start last week I was up north and got back in touch with a fellow space blogger. We both vacation in the same area, I took a chance that she was up at the same time as me and voila! We got together at a great little restaurant for breakfast. It was great catching up and I realized I missed all my space friends! So I am back to try and reconnect.
Halloween was great and the kids had a blast. Probably the last year Trav will go trick or treating. He was a ninja and Chloe was a witch. Not sure if I will post pictures. I see spaces has changed quite a bit since I haven't been around.
Well, its my weekend to work. Lots to do and not a lot of time to do it. Tomorrow we have a benefit for Jason's Uncle who has cancer. He can't work anymore and they are denying his disability pay. Things have been tough for them.
This is harder than I thought. I can't think of anything interesting to say. I think that's part of why I stopped blogging. It got so I felt like I had to be fun and witty to justify the time people were spending coming to read my blog. It was too much pressure.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. |
